In the afternoon attendees were welcomed by ESIC Director, Mani Venkatasubramanian as they participated in a session at the CUB Auditorium featuring WSU Pullman Chancellor, Elizabeth Chilton; VCEA Dean, Mary Rezac; and EECS Director, Partha Pande. Also during this session, ESIC Power Faculty shared highlights of their recent research projects and the crowd was address via video by Bob Olsen, EECS/ESIC Professor Emeritus, one of the faculty who joined WSU during those early years of the Power Professorship Program. The afternoon ended with a Q&A session led by a panel of key industry personnel from Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL), Avista, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), Tesla, Puget Sound Energy (PSE), General Electric Power (GE), and Power Systems Consultants (PSC).
