This presentation reviews the fundamentals of transformer ground fault protection and explores common challenges caused by current transformer (CT) polarity errors. Practical methods for identifying and resolving polarity issues are discussed to improve protection reliability and security.
Bio
Mr. Sumit Sawai received his BS in electrical engineering from Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai, India, in 2011, and his MS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, Houghton, Michigan, in 2015. He joined Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. (SEL), in 2015 and currently serves as a senior power
engineer in the Research and Development division. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Washington.
