Welcome to the Energy Systems Innovation Center
Washington State University's ESI Center brings together research faculty, business leaders,
and governmental organizations to address one of the world's most pressing technological challenges - demand for clean, reliable energy.
The center consists of more than 30 WSU faculty members. Thirteen are in the core areas of power, energy, and computer science. More than twenty are in sociology, economics, psychology, communication, and public policy - helping bridge the gap between science and society.
The center also collaborates with a wide range of government and industry partners.
The center's focus areas include renewable energy; social and economic incentives; information collection, delivery, and analysis;
decision support; efficient use of right-of-way and associated economic issues; and cyber security of the smart grid.
